KEYCOM provides S-parameter method measurement systems in two modes,
the reflection mode and the transmission mode, to address the individual
purposes.
Both modes measure the complex permittivity (εr) and complex permeability
(μr) at the same time, and the proper usage is as follows.
The optional software DMP-70 calculates the absorption ratio and the reflection
ratio of electromagnetic absorbers based on the complex εr and complex μr.
* Reflection mode*
- Suitable for measurements of thin specimens (less than 2 mm in thickness).
- Measures the specimens with small dielectric loss tangent with high precision
relative to the transmission mode (min value: 0.01).
* Transmission mode*
- Suitable for measurements of thick specimens (larger than 2 mm in thickness).
- Also suitable for specimens with relatively large dielectric loss tangent (0.1 or more).
And More...
- Permittivity, dielectric loss tangent and complex permeability are graphically displayed with frequencyon X axis and all data can be extracted and exported to Excel at ease. These enhanced functionalities will make your data processing
and documentation such as thesis easier than ever.
- Free space measurement is available with add-on kit.
- Because the software DMP-70 is capable of incorporating the actual measurement vales, it only takes a click to
simulate the electromagnetic wave absorption rate based on the actual measurement value of permittivity and
permeability.

First, calibrate your vector network analyzer before measurement.
Calibration is a complete way to correct vector errors by using the open, short, load and through.
The short and load of coaxial tubes are fixed types. The measurement kit is then to be calibrated by
using the open and short, after which the measurement of your sample is executed. |
